Carlisle United have handed a trial to Faroe Islands striker Rogvi Jacobsen, who will feature in a pre-season clash with Middlesbrough.
The 28-year-old target man recently scored against Italy in a Euro 2008 qualifier and Cumbrians boss Neil McDonald is looking forward to taking a look at the HB Torshavn star.
He told the News & Star: "We watched him last season when the Faroes played Scotland and he scored against Italy.
"He was a handful with his size and we have decided to have a look at him. He will play 45 minutes at the most, then we will sit down and have a chat with him.
"It is about whether he can adjust to English football and the tempo of it. He is an international and he scored against Italy, so he is no mug.
"He is 6ft 4ins which gives us something different to look at and he's supposed to be quick as well, which is a combination you don't normally get."
