Notts County were left to rue a host of missed chances as Gary Madine's winner saw Carlisle close the gap on League One leaders Brighton to three points.Madine showed real determination to get on the end of Matthew Robson's cross and turn the ball in after the break. But Notts paid the price for wasting a number of fine chances with former Cumbrians striker Karl Hawley blazing over and also heading wastefully wide.
