Abbott cools Bishop speculation

Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott has dampened down speculation linking the club with a move for Bury forward Andy Bishop.

Danny Graham seems certain to be leaving Brunton Park this term and Bishop has been spoken of as a possible replacement.

However, Abbott told the News & Star: "You have to be on the ball with players who've done okay in other divisions and we know about Andy Bishop.

"But he isn't a player we've enquired about, or spoken about at length.

"I'm not discounting him, but I haven't had any conversations with Bury about Andy."
