Zoko can be a star - Abbott

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is convinced Francois Zoko can light up League One once he adapts to the English game. The Ivory Coast midfielder made a positive impression in his first appearance against Brentford in the season opener, but he was subdued against Plymouth on Saturday and was replaced in the second half. Abbott admits it will take time for the 26-year-old to settle into his new surroundings and get match fit and has tipped Zoko to have a fantastic season. "Zoko's fitness is okay, it's just a case of him now coming to terms with the pace of the English game as it is completely different to what he is used to. "He gives everything he can. We haven't had 90 minutes out of him but he is getting closer. "He didn't know the English game at all, but once he settles in we are going to see a good player. The next few weeks will see him fully integrated into the game."
