Wycombe could have gone ahead after 13 minutes when Jon-Paul Pittman was put through by a good ball from John Mousinho, but his effort was saved by Cumbrians keeper Adam Collin.[LNB]Adam Clayton went close for United 10 minutes later as he picked up the ball in a good position on the left of the area but his powerful strike found the side netting.[LNB]Ian Harte's curling free-kick just after the half-hour mark looked to finally have Chairboys keeper Tom Heaton beaten but it flew narrowly past the right-hand upright.[LNB]Shortly before the break the home side came close to a breakthrough when Matt Harrold connected with Dean Keates' corner but Collin saved well and Mousinho's follow-up header dropped just wide.[LNB]Substitute Stuart Beavon surged forward late on and laid the ball into the path of a well-placed Mousinho but he could only blaze wide to ensure the match finished goalless.[LNB][LNB]
