United confident game will go ahead

Heavy rainfall, which has led to serious flooding in Cumbria, has left the Waterworks End of the ground under water on Friday morning up to, and in line, with the edge of the penalty area across the full width of the pitch.[LNB]The League One club are working hard to ensure Saturday's game goes ahead and will inspect the pitch once the standing water is cleared.[LNB]The Cumbrians' media officer Andy Hall told the club's official website: "The large area of the pitch that isn't covered in water is in very good condition, so we are looking at standing water that is an overspill from the flooded car park and training pitch area.[LNB]"We have some industrial pumps coming in to clear the Waterworks End and we should have it cleared by lunchtime. We will then be able to have a look at the condition of the pitch and we can take it from there.[LNB]"We have notified the Football League and Swindon Town of the situation and of the action that we are taking and we will keep everyone informed as the day goes on. If we were asked for a probability of the game being called off at the moment, we would say that it is at about 10%."[LNB][LNB]
