But the 45-year-old insists he is only interested in involving players who will "wear the shirt with passion and pride". He told the club's official website: "We needed a break and we've had one now so I'm ready to get back into it. I've got a real buzz about the feeling of the whole thing. "There's a lot of excitement about what we might do and we just want to get back playing and get pre-season under way. "In pre-season everybody gets a chance and with all the friendlies we get we'll be able to see them all. We'll be able to look at who really has got the bit between their teeth. "What we're not going to have next season is people not being hungry and determined. We're going to have players that wear the shirt and wear it with passion and pride and give everything they've got."
