Tough times ahead, warns Nixon

The 60-year-old, who is one of the club's four owners, will now work on a part-time unpaid basis in an attempt to reduce costs. "We've had to look at the business from a viewpoint of cost reduction," he told the News and Star. "I leave the post with a degree of trepidation because I have some great working relationships with people inside the club. "However I'll still be doing the contracts in and contracts out with transfers, the Football League stuff, ground maintenance and other things on a long list. "Bringing forward a substantial loss this year means that we are going to be sailing through some choppy waters for the next 12 months I suspect. "It will be more calm if the team performs well but if the results on the pitch are the same as they were last season then it's going to be a difficult 12 months for sure."
