TImmins given keeping role

One of Timmins' first tasks is likely to involve helping boss Paul Simpson find a new first-team goalkeeper, with Glyn Garner currently the only stopper on the Shrews books. Timmins told Carlisle's official website: "I've known Paul Simpson privately and professionally for a number of years and that is the reason I have decided to make the move to Shrewsbury. The fact that we have worked so well together in the past made it an easier decision to make, and I think that pre-season is also a good time to come to a decision like this. "Paul only has one senior keeper at the moment so he'll be busy trying to get another one in as well. Once that is done it will be a case of knuckling down and pushing on, so it will be something new to get my teeth into." Speaking to Shrewsbury's official website, Simpson added that he was delighted to have got his man. "Goalkeeper coach is an area that I definitely thought needed to be improved on and I'm sure Dave will be a great addition for us," said Simpson.
