Thirlwell wants strong Carlisle finish

Captain Paul Thirlwell insists Carlisle have plenty to play for over the remaining four games of the season despite occupying a mid-table spot in npower League One. With the club safe from relegation in 12th place and having only an outside chance of reaching the play-offs, some observers could be forgiven for thinking the Johnstone's Paint Trophy winners would have beach towels at the ready. But Thirlwell is adamant that is not the case. "No-one wants to end the season on a low point so we'll be going out looking to end on an unbeaten run," he told the club's official website. "It was great to win at Wembley but we also want to finish as high as we can in the league."
