Thirlwell relishing Owls clash

Carlisle skipper Paul Thirlwell feels next week's top-of-the-table clash at Sheffield Wednesday will be a "great experience" for the Cumbrians. The Owls remain top of npower League One despite Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Brentford, while Carlisle's goalless home draw with Swindon was enough to lift them into second place. Thirlwell said: "It's set things up really nicely for next week now. It's going to be a great experience for the lads, especially the younger players, to go to a great stadium and play in front of a big crowd. "We know there's going to be a big following of our fans there too and we hope we can keep this run going for them. "As long as we keep picking up points, we're going to find ourselves in and around the place we want to be." Thirlwell added: "We can be really pleased with how we've done so far this season, but there's still plenty of work to be done."
