Same again for Abbott

04 October 2010 15:02
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is expected to choose from an unchanged squad for his side`s Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Port Vale. Abbott, who has no new injury or suspension problems, should stick with Peter Murphy at centre-half in place of on-loan Lubo Michalik, who has returned to Leeds due to a hamstring strain. Assistant manager Graham Kavanagh will undergo exploratory knee surgery at the end of this week, while the Cumbrians will be without skipper Paul Thirlwell and fellow midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson again due to respective knee injuries. Long-term casualty Danny Livesey (groin) remains sidelined, while Oliver Norwood and Craig Curran are pressing for recalls to the starting line-up after stepping off the bench at half-time during Saturday's home defeat to Peterborough.
