Robins get the better of Carlisle

Only a Charlie Austin goal separated the teams at half-time in a match which saw both sides play a good passing game.[LNB]Swindon had the better of the early exchanges but it was not until the 31st minute that they took the lead through Austin, who latched onto a through ball, picked his spot and fired past Adam Collin for his 14th goal in 15 starts.[LNB]The hosts had several chances. Jonathan Douglas had a good opening in the 13th minute but his shot was parried by Collin from point-blank range. Jon-Paul McGovern then saw his effort tipped over and Danny Ward sent a shot just wide.[LNB]Carlisle also had their moments, notably in the 17th minute when Ian Harte's free-kick forced a brilliant save from home keeper David Lucas. On the stroke of half-time, Joe Anyinsah was denied after Lucas stretched to block his goalbound effort with his legs.[LNB]Swindon increased their lead in the 52nd minute when Billy Paynter flicked on Alan Sheehan's driven free-kick to beat Collin. The Robins peppered the visitors' goal for most of the second half but failed to add to their two goals.[LNB][LNB]
