Pericard strike seals Cumbrians win

Pericard should have put the Cumbrians ahead in the sixth minute when he charged through from Kevan Hurst's neat pass but fired against the legs of advancing keeper Scott Shearer.[LNB]Hurst bundled a shot over the bar from close range then Matthew Robson, after being slipped in by Pericard, rolled his shot across the face of goal only to see the ball bounce clear off the right-hand post.[LNB]The Cumbrians finally put the finishing touch to their clever approach play in the 45th minute when Ian Harte swung in a fierce free-kick from the right and Pericard rose highest to glance a header into the top left-hand corner of the net from six yards.[LNB]Wycombe came into the game more forcefully after the break as John Akinde's header was saved by Adam Collin and Danny Livesey rescued Carlisle by heading Lewis Hunt's follow-up off the line.[LNB][LNB]
