The former Juventus and Portsmouth forward has rejected "a great offer" to commit himself to a longer-term contract at Brunton Park.[LNB]Cumbrians' manager Greg Abbott said: "We can confirm that Vincent has turned down our offer as he wants to try his luck elsewhere.[LNB]"He came in and did a great job for us, but he decided he wanted to keep his options open when we initially started to talk to him.[LNB]"We made what we thought was a great offer and the club has done everything that it can to keep him here beyond the end of the current deal. However, he has made his decision and all we can do now is move on. He's a fantastic lad and we wish him all the very best."[LNB]Pericard, 27, signed a short-term contract when he arrived at Brunton Park on a free transfer from Stoke in October and has scored six goals in 16 appearances for Abbott's side.[LNB][LNB]
