Pericard eager for Carlisle stay

The former Juventus and Stoke targetman has made an impressive contribution to the Cumbrians' season since signing a short-term deal last month, scoring twice in his five outings so far.[LNB]His arrival at Brunton Park has coincided with an upturn in United's fortunes, and the 27-year-old is hopeful manager Greg Abbott will want to offer him a longer deal.[LNB]"I'm extremely happy with my football and with my fitness," he said. "I think that the manager had doubts over it but I have played five games in a row and have been playing well.
