The 25-year-old is currently playing second fiddle to first-choice strike pair Scott Dobie and Joe Anyinsah.
However, the former Newcastle trainee is hopeful his chance in the
first team will come sooner rather than later.
Offiong told the Carlisle News & Star: "Of course it is frustrating when you are sitting watching - any player who says it isn't shouldn't be playing.
"But I know I've got to bide my time, keep working hard and hopefully I will get my chance.
"The reception I got was nice, and obviously I want to prove I'm worth the money the club has paid for me. Hopefully I will show that in the coming weeks."
