Norwood happy with debut

On-loan Manchester United teenager Oliver Norwood believes he coped well after making the step up in his first-team debut for Carlisle against Brighton. The 19-year-old, signed on loan for a month following injury to Cumbrians' skipper Paul Thirlwell, played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's goalless draw. Norwood, born in Northern Ireland, said: "You have to make decisions a lot quicker than in reserve team football. "The fact that you're playing for points properly increases the tempo as well. "The main thing for us is that we wanted to stay at the top of the table. "It's a role that I've played for a few years, so I felt comfortable. Luckily I got plenty time of the ball and I picked a few passes out, so I was pleased with that."
