A host of new arrivals could make their debuts when Carlisle take on Brentford in their npower League One opener. A new look defence is expected to feature Frank Simek, Sean McDaid and on-loan Manchester United youngster James Chester. Elsewhere Craig Curran, Jason Price, James Berrett, and Francois Zoko are all in contention, although competition for places will be fierce as boss Greg Abbott boasts a virtual clean bill of health. The fixture at Brunton Park is a repeat of the opening game between the sides last season. On that occasion the Bees, inspired by a brace from winger Myles Weston, ran out 3-1 winners.
