Gary Madine has committed his future to Carlisle by signing a two-year contract extension at Brunton Park. The 20-year-old striker, who has had loan spells with Rochdale, Chesterfield and Coventry, follows Ian Harte in penning a new deal with the npower League One side. Manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "Gary is playing regular football at the moment and we think that is what he needs at this stage of his career. "He has shown real progress since he joined and the stability of this contract will alow that to continue. "He showed us when he got his run in the team last season what he can do and now we want to see that consistently." Madine added: "I'm really pleased to extend my stay at the club for another two years. Having that extra security of a new deal definitely helps and it means I can relax a bit more and concentrate on my football."
