Cumbrians boss Greg Abbott vented his fury at Madine this week after he was arrested last weekend for being drunk and disorderly.
Madine impressed for the reserves in a 4-1 win over Morecambe on Wednesday night and United coach Kinder hopes the 19-year-old has learned his lesson.
"Gary played very well (against Morecambe) and hopefully he is now putting the events of the last few days behind him," Kinder told the News & Star.
"He has been hammered for what happened, and it has stung him. If it has stung him in the right direction then he can now get back to concentrating on what he is good at, which is playing football.
"In my opinion he is probably in the last chance saloon here. All eyes were on him at Morecambe and everyone was pleased with what he did. Hopefully now he can put it all behind him and get on with trying to get himself a career."
