Lubo revels in Carlisle stay

Lubomir Michalik has revealed he could not be happier with the way his loan spell at Carlisle is unfolding. The Slovakia international has made 12 appearances for the Cumbrians since arriving at Brunton Park from Leeds in August, despite a recent knee injury which ruled him out for most of October. The 27-year-old, who scored his second goal for the club in the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Sheffield Wednesday, said: "I'm enjoying the training sessions and the players have made me feel very welcome. It's very good to be playing in a run of games like this. "There's still a long time to go with my loan spell and all I'm doing is taking it game by game at the moment. Hopefully the good run will continue for me. "I'm really happy that I got a goal, but it doesn't matter who scores. The most important thing is that we won the game and we have gone through."
