Logan at the double to slay Cumbrians

Two Richard Logan goals ensured Exeter maintained their unbeaten home record at the expense of Carlisle as the Grecians secured a 2-1 win at St James' Park. The striker twice broke the offside trap to score and move Exeter up to seventh place in npower League One. After a promising start, Exeter got the opening goal after 19 minutes when Ryan Harley's first time pass sent Logan through on goal and he finished in style. Three minutes later it was 2-0 as Logan timed his run to perfection to beat Carlisle's offside trap and latch onto Liam Sercombe's pass before planting the ball into the net. However, Exeter never really looked comfortable with their lead and substitute Matty Robson pulled one back for the Cumbrians with a fine free-kick from 25 yards. Logan missed a great chance to put the game beyond Carlisle from 12 yards, then Scott Golbourne came to Exeter's rescue with a fine clearance to deny Robson.
