Kavanagh in awe of Zoko strike

Carlisle coach Graham Kavanagh hailed a "contender for goal of the season" as an overhead-kick by Francois Zoko earned a 1-0 win over Hartlepool. The Cumbrians had to play with 10 men from just before the interval after Liam Noble was shown a straight red card for a late tackle on Antony Sweeney. But the home side took the points in the 67th minute when Zoko produced an overhead kick from just outside the six-yard box to find the net. Kavanagh said: "He is capable of pulling a rabbit from the hat and he got us three points without having one of his best games. "Zoko came up with a wonder goal - a contender for goal of the season. For a goal that spectacular you just wish the ground was full because there won't have been many goals of that quality in recent seasons. "Liam Noble was distraught but he will learn. He is a wholehearted player but sometimes you've got to wait for your opportunity and leaving the ground you must win the ball. "We are looking to try and push ourselves into that top six. It was important to win after some good away performances."
