Carlisle goalkeeper Mark Gillespie has joined Blyth Spartans on a month's loan. The 18-year-old, who is in his first year as a professional, has made just one substitute appearance for the Cumbrians' first team. "Mark has performed really well in training and is hungry for games," said manager Greg Abbot. "We think this one is a good move for him because he will get valuable pitch time and it is a level of football that will really test him. "He will have to stand up and be strong as it will be very competitive. In terms of development, we feel this will help push him on and we think he will come back to us a better player for the experience."
