Curran excited by Madine link-up
Carlisle striker Craig Curran is confident his partnership with Gary Madine will bring plenty of goals this season.
Curran, 20, who signed a two-year deal at Brunton Park in June following his release from Tranmere, has been handed a starting role alongside fellow youngster Madine by Cumbrians manager Greg Abbott.
Curran said: "I'm enjoying playing up front with Gary. I'm playing through the middle, which is where I want to be. We've done well so far and we can only get better.
"I've had a few chances in both games and I've come close, but it's a case of picking yourself up and going again.
"Sometimes that's just the way it goes. There will be other nights where it will bounce off a shin or something and go in.
"The chances are being created and I know that I can score goals, so I just want to get my first now and build on it."
