Carlisle have secured the signing of young striker Rory Loy from Rangers. The 22-year-old impressed during a week-long trial at Brunton Park, before joining on a permanent deal on Friday night. Speaking to the News & Star, Carlisle manager Greg Abbott said: "He's a goal-scorer, he's sharp and he's hungry so he is the right type of player for us. "Rangers have huge quality in their squad but we think he could be one who has sneaked under the radar. "I can't wait to see him in action as I think he is going to be a good signing for us." The Scot is ineligible for the npower League One clash with Oldham, but is expected to join the squad for Tuesday's trip to Huddersfield.
