Cumbrians end Shrimps' cup dreams

Former Preston frontman Anyinsah latched onto a superb ball from the experienced Graham Kavanagh after just five minutes and drilled a stinging shot that gave home goalkeeper Barry Roche no chance.[LNB]It was the telling moment of a thrilling game which the Shrimps dominated for long periods, but their lack of a lethal finish proved costly.[LNB]Michael Twiss missed three great chances, Dave Artell headed wide twice and Craig Stanley came within a whisker of producing a late equaliser for Sammy McIlroy's side.[LNB]However, they were unable to find a leveller and it will be Carlisle who host Norwich in round two a week on Saturday.s[LNB][LNB]
