Abbott was ordered from the dugout by referee Russell Booth following a prolonged protest over a penalty award to the League One leaders following Tom Taiwo's challenge on Mike Doyle. But the United boss has been cleared by the FA and will face no further action. "The FA have spoke to the relevant people and they have acknowledged that no foul or abusive language was used and that there was no threatening behaviour," Abbott told the club's official website. "I was asked to leave the dugout for breaching technical area rules when I stepped over the white line, and there will be no further action taken on that issue. "Obviously I am very pleased with the outcome and it is good to be able to put it behind us."
