Collin lauds new signings

Goalkeeper Adam Collin believes Greg Abbott's summer signings have helped turn Carlisle into genuine promotion challengers. Abbott's side could climb back into the top two with a home win over Charlton on Saturday and the likes of Oliver Norwood, on loan from Manchester United, striker Francois Zoko, a free signing after his deal at Belgian side Oostende expired, and Craig Curran, from Tranmere, have all flourished at Brunton Park. Collin said: "There is a confidence within the squad and the management that we can do well this season. "The new signings have been excellent. It's a new-look back four and there have been a lot of changes in defence. Olly Norwood has done well, Craig Curran works his socks off and Francois Zoko is unpredictable for opponents and a quality player. "Everybody who has come in has been excellent, fitted in really well in the dressing room and added some real quality to the team."
