Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is set to pick from an unchanged squad for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern area second round tie against Port Vale.Oliver Norwood and Craig Curran are pushing for starts after coming off the bench against Peterborough on Saturday.

Port Vale boss Micky Adams is set to shuffle his pack and give some of his fringe players starts.

On-loan striker Jemal Johnson will figure after parent club MK Dons gave Vale permission to play him.

Port Vale defender Gareth Owen told BBC Radio Stoke: "We know where we went wrong (against Oxford) and we're going out to put that right.

"It's a game of football and you want to win every game of football, even if the manager makes changes.

"He's making changes because the lads on the touchline deserve a chance and it's up to the lads who get that shirt to put in a performance, then they could be in charge of it on Saturday as well."
