Duo added to Cumbrians' injury list

Carlisle pair Paul Thirlwell and Liam Noble have joined the club's extensive injury list and are expected to miss the home game against Oldham.

Thirlwell was forced out of Monday's defeat at Peterborough with an Achilles problem, while fellow midfielder Noble missed it due to a calf injury. Both players are likely to sit out both Carlisle's remaining games.

Striker Lee Miller, midfielder James Berrett, plus defenders Courtney Meppen-Walter and Reece Brown are all nursing groin injuries and will be monitored. Centre-half Sean O'Hanlon has missed the last two matches with a similar problem and remains doubtful.

The Cumbrians, third from bottom, are three points from safety following one win in their last 12.

In-form Oldham could name the same starting line-up for the seventh straight fixture as they look to seal their Sky Bet League One safety.

Latics boss Lee Johnson has settled on the same XI in the last half a dozen contests and it has paid dividends with three wins and three draws moving his side five points clear of the drop zone, while they also have a game in hand on most around them.

Midfielders Korey Smith (knee) and David Worrall (groin) have managed their nagging problems throughout that period and will have had five days to recover from Easter Monday's 0-0 draw with Coventry.

Defender Genseric Kusunga (hamstring) and midfielder Anton Rodgers (knee) have been on the sidelines while loanee Adel Gafaiti this week returned to Norwich.
