Carlisle report clean bill of health ahead of Mansfield clash

Carlisle boss Keith Curle has no fresh injury problems as he attempts to steer the club back into the Sky Bet League Two play-off places against Mansfield on Saturday.

The Cumbrians emerged from Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over Hartlepool intact and head into Saturday's game a point adrift of seventh-placed Wycombe.

Striker Steven Rigg is yet to return from a groin injury, while defender Alex McQueen is close to contention after a month out with a thigh problem.

Winger Luis Pedro is still to make a first start for the club following his switch from Romanian club Targu Mures last month.

Mansfield manager Adam Murray has two players available again after serving bans, but loses another two to injury and suspension.

Midfielder Jamie McGuire and striker Adi Yussuf, following his enforced five-game absence for allegedly urinating in public during the defeat at Plymouth in February, return to the squad but Chris Clements and Krystian Pearce will not travel.

Clements suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat to Hartlepool last weekend and the midfielder may miss the remainder of the season, while defender Pearce was sent off at Victoria Park and begins a three-match ban.

The likes of Daniel Alfei, Mitchell Rose, Chris Beardsley, Colin Daniel and Reggie Lambe are options for Murray, who hinted he may also introduce one or two players from the club's youth set-up.
