Carlisle defender Ian Harte has signed a new contract which could keep him at the club until the age of 35. The former Leeds man has scored an impressive 21 goals in 65 appearances for the Cumbrians and will now stay with the club until the end of the 2011/12 season - with an option for a further season. Manager Greg Abbott said: "Ian has been fantastic for us since he signed and I am delighted that this is now done and dusted. "His reading of the game is second to none and he has been a big part of the overall improvement at the club. "We all know about his goals but his all-round game sets a real example to the rest of the players."
