Abbott: We deserved defeat

Ian Moore broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a close-range effort before Gareth Edds, who replaced skipper Antony Kay for the second half, made it 2-0 off the underside of the bar in the 53rd minute.[LNB]Danny Graham did pull a goal back for Carlisle on the hour but Tranmere restored their two-goal advantage with a powerful strike by Steve Jennings and Moore wrapped it up with an excellent 18-yard shot in the 77th minute after good work by Edrissa Sonko.[LNB]"We conceded goals far too easily and got our backsides tanned. We were very happy at half-time and just had to keep playing much the same," said Abbott.[LNB]"But it was a really poor second-half display. We defended poorly and have got to take the criticism. It can be a brutal game at times and it was certainly hard on our keeper that he should concede four goals.[LNB]"We matched Tranmere up to their first goal when they suddenly looked a very good side."[LNB][LNB]
