Abbott unconcerned by form

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott does not think successive defeats will have any bearing on his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final clash against Brentford. The Cumbrians followed up a 2-1 loss at Wembley's opponents Brentford last Friday by going down 1-0 at Yeovil in midweek, but Abbott is not concerned about his side's current form. Abbott said: "Results haven't gone perfectly, but performances have still been encouraging. "We certainly thought we were the better team against Brentford last Friday, and we didn't think we deserved to lose at Yeovil on Tuesday night. "Results help confidence, but performances count for a great deal. I'm not delirious with our form, but I'm not over-worried. On our day we can produce and we are confident Sunday can be one of those days." Carlisle hope to go one better than last season in the competition when they lost 4-1 in the final to Southampton.
