Abbott targets promotion push
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has not written off a play-off challenge at the end of an excellent week for the Cumbrians.
Abbott's side thumped Huddersfield 4-0 in the first leg of their Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area final on Tuesday and followed that up with a 1-0 win at Notts County. Carlisle also hit four without reply against Bristol Rovers the previous Saturday.
Abbott said: "It's been a really good week for us and we're all really pleased about that.
"I've just said to the players they have to remember what this feels like and make sure that they're putting themselves in a position to reproduce consistently.
"With our games in hand we are looking up the table at the moment, but we can only keep doing that with results.
"It'll be tough, but we'll take each game as it comes and be doing our best to win every single one of them."
