Abbott still looking for improvement
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott admitted he was unhappy with how his side started the game despite the comprehensive 4-1 win over MK Dons.
Francois Zoko and James Berrett netted first-half goals for the Cumbrians with Gary Madine and Tom Taiwo scoring in the second period before Peter Leven's consolation strike for the Dons.
Abbott said: "We were slow out of the traps. An incident with Ian Harte fired us up and they probably took their eye off the ball a bit.
"Early on they frustrated us and hit the bar but we got that bit of luck. We played some fantastic stuff at times and ran out comfortable winners but it was never that easy."
Of the incident in which Harte clashed with Dons' striker Jermaine Easter when the scores were 0-0 in the first half the Carlisle manager said: "I didn't see it although Karl Robinson said he put his arm across him. But he was not badly hurt."
Referee Mark Haywood took no action although Easter spent some time on the floor clutching his face after the off-the-ball clash.
