Abbott salutes fans

Carlisle manager Gregg Abbott has paid tribute to the Cumbrians' travelling fans after his side were denied by a stoppage-time equaliser at Plymouth. Abbott's side were seconds away from a second successive league win after Ian Harte's second-half opener, but Plymouth substitute Rory Patterson equalised in the fourth minute of time added on. Abbott said: "I wanted to make sure that all of the players went across to acknowledge the fans. "It was unbelievably difficult for them to get there, but over 300 of them made it and they were the ones that were making the noise. "I just hope that the late goal didn't spoil it for them too much and that they have been able to go away with smiles on their faces."
