Abbott resists change

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott is expected to name an unchanged line-up against predecessor John Ward's Colchester. The Cumbrians have not played at home since a 1-0 success over Bournemouth on March 19 and Abbott, who took over from Ward at Brunton Park in November 2008, has no new injury or suspension problems. Abbott has hinted at handing several youngsters and other fringe players a game between now and the end of the season with neither the play-offs nor relegation an issue but he may opt to play his strongest line-up again after an impressive midweek draw at Leyton Orient. On-loan Stoke winger Ben Marshall is sidelined with a season-ending ankle ligament injury with Liam Noble, expected to return on loan from Sunderland again next season, set to continue. Strikers Patrick Madden, Nahki Wells and Rory Loy are all pressing for starts while young forwards Ben McKenna and Ryan Bowman are expected to be retained on the bench again.
