Abbott resigned to Madine fight

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has already made plans to find a replacement for Gary Madine if the striker leaves during the January transfer window. Madine, 20, has scored 13 goals for the Cumbrians this season and Abbott has confirmed several clubs have made enquiries about him. Abbott said: "There's been loads of interest in Gary Madine already this season. It's not something you can do anything about and it's definitely not something to worry about. "He's 20 years old, he's the youngest centre-forward leading the line in the division and has scored goals. He's also playing very well, so I would be staggered if there wasn't interest. "We're ready for it if it does happen. I'm not saying we would have a player in the very next day but we have to accept there might be a bid for him."
