Abbott refuses to blame Cumbrians

The Cumbrians are in danger of being relegated from League One as they sit in 21st place - the last relegation place. But Abbott is confident his players will never surrender in their quest for survival. "I have read a couple of things from other managers in our division c criticising their players, saying they are not right, not up for the fight," he told the News and Star. "I am not going to do that because I don't think my players deserve it. "We have made mistakes, we haven't achieved what we wanted to achieve, but it is not through people throwing the towel in. If they want to do that, they won't be here next season."
