Abbott plays down impact of long-haul journey

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has played down the significance of the long journey south his squad must make to take on Bournemouth on Saturday. The Cumbrians face a 720-mile round trip, but Abbott insists his players have grown accustomed to travelling long distances and was more concerned about his side maintaining their unbeaten start to the season. "It's a long journey down there but we're used to that," said Abbott. "It's something that we know we have to do so we don't make any big deal about it. "It'll be a tough game because Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job down there. Take the seven-hour journey out of the way and it's one that we're really looking forward to. "We think that if we can be solid then there's every chance for us as well. "We've given our fans plenty to be enthused about on the road and we want to go there and do that again. We want to keep our unbeaten run going for as long as we can."
