Abbott happy with point at Pools

The Cumbrians dominated the first and deserved their two-goal half-time lead with Graham Kavanagh controlling the game from midfield.[LNB]But in the second it was all Hartlepool as they pushed Carlisle back for most of the time, though they had to wait until five minutes from the end for their equaliser.[LNB]Abbott admitted: "A point is fair enough, even though I thought we had it won at half-time. They had us pinned back for long spells in the second half and we had to fight hard to hold on to our lead.[LNB]"But I consider it a point gained rather than two lost. Hartlepool is a difficult place to come to and we would have settled for a draw before the game.[LNB]"We had our goalkeeper Ben Williams to thank for a couple of good saves in the second half, but I can't take anything away from the players who have responded really well to our defeat at Tranmere at the weekend."[LNB][LNB]
