Abbott hails courageous Cumbrians
Kevan Hurst's cool finish and Vincent Pericard's double put the Cumbrians in control before Luke Chadwick's brace and Sam Baldock's strike brought the hosts level. But substitute Joe Anyinsah's 66th-minute tap-in condemned Paul Ince's men to their third straight defeat, despite Carlisle's Tom Taiwo picking up a second yellow card in stoppage-time for kicking the ball away.[LNB]Abbott was delighted with his team's response to a dressing down following the dire 1-0 home defeat by Swindon at the weekend.[LNB]"I've grown up as a manager after Saturday and we've had a tough couple of days and asked questions of each other, the players and staff," said Abbott. "We told a few home truths to the players and then we had that fantastic start here. We dug in as deep as we possibly could for that.[LNB]"It was an amazing game - it took us to the heights of ecstasy, to the depths of despair and then back up to where we are now. The players have responded and we got our rewards - we could have had five or six goals. We showed a lot of bravery and courage.[LNB]"It hurts when the fans level criticism at me but we've shown there is a lot of determination in the camp."[LNB][LNB]
