Abbott critical after Bees defeat

The Cumbrians paid a heavy price for missing chances in the first half as Brentford caught them out with a combination of their pace and the hosts' basic defensive errors. Myles Weston scored twice and Sam Wood added a third, while Ian Harte's penalty was the only response Carlisle could muster. Boos rang out from a section of the Brunton Park crowd at the final whistle, and Abbott said: "The fans will be upset and I share their disappointment. We need to get the season up and running quickly. "We concede really cheap goals and that infuriates me. Individual players have got to take responsibility. The second goal was terrible and the third even worse. That 15-minute spell after half time was very very poor."
