Abbott confident of keeping loan trio

Taiwo and Clayton, on loan from Chelsea and Manchester City respectively, have already suggested they are keen to stay beyond their current agreements, which are due to come to an end around the start of January.[LNB]Pericard, meanwhile, joined the Cumbrians as a free agent back in October and is due to stay until January 12, but further planned talks with his agent could well lead to the deal being extended.[LNB]"We've had some good discussions this week," Abbott told the News & Star. "I'm very optimistic and we're really keen for this to happen. I've a real good feeling about all three of them, but I don't want to build hopes up.[LNB]"We've had some really positive talks with Tom and Adam and we are really hopeful we can tie something up after the Bradford game next week. We would like a decision in principle and that looks pretty positive at the moment, but until it's done and dusted we don't want to be either building our hopes up or looking on it in a despondent way.[LNB]"They are really good lads and I've asked them whatever decision they make to try to make it as quickly as they can, so it gives us a good idea about what we need to be doing in January."[LNB][LNB]
