Harte's first-half free-kick and a penalty just after half-time in Saturday's League One clash at Brunton Park sent Gills on the long journey back to Kent still seeking their first away win of the campaign.[LNB]Abbott said: "Harte's goals have been a massive bonus for the club. The players were a bit nervy at the start, but pulled a performance round after Hartey's magnificent free-kick. We needed a win and now we can start looking at mid-table consolidation."[LNB]The Cumbrians boss found himself confined to the stand for the last 50 minutes of the game after falling foul of referee Paul Tierney following a challenge between Gills striker Rene Howe and Harte, which left the Carlisle man clutching his face.[LNB]"It was a shocking challenge," he added. "The sort that breaks jaws and cheekbones. I was fuming at the challenge, although I never swore. I thought Gillingham were a bit embarrassed, but I stepped onto the pitch, which you can't do."[LNB][LNB]
