Abbott can't hide his delight

Carlisle manager Gregg Abbott was full of praise for his side and the way they put away their chances in a 4-1 home win over Colchester. The Cumbrians turned in a scintillating first-half display and their play was rewarded with goals from midfielder James Berrett, striker Craig Curran's double and Liam Noble. Colchester pulled a goal back against the run of play in the 71st minute through Steven Gillespie. Abbott said: "We've been playing well for a while and not getting the results our football deserved. "But we were clinical in front of goal. Throughout the 90 minutes there was some great football with an end product. "We managed to get an early goal and all of a sudden it makes teams come out and we can use our passing game to hurt people. "Over the course of the season we haven't scored enough goals to get in the top six, but we looked the part."
