Abbott buoyed by Cumbrians' display

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott was thrilled with his team`s overall effort following their 1-0 win over Swindon. James Berrett ensured the win in the 29th minute when he turned quickly and from 30 yards out unleashed an unstoppable shot that flew into the top-left corner of the net for his seventh goal of the season. The Cumbrians have won three out of five on the road and look an outside bet for promotion. "The energy and the workrate was great. Swindon threw a lot of balls into the box and there was one instance when Jon Obika was through and the challenge on him by Liam Noble was typical of the whole team. "We're pleased with the levels of application too. It's a really young group at the moment and they'll learn from these type of games. "The never-say-die attitude throughout the team was fantastic. These are typical League One games where you're happy to come out on the right side of victory, it wasn't pretty at times with honesty from both sides. We've managed to find that one bit of quality with James' strike and we are going away happy."
